We enjoyed a luxurious 2-day 1-night stay at "Hilton Yokohama," which just had its grand opening in September 2023✨ Located in a prime spot between K-Arena and Anpanman Museum, this is a sophisticated hotel themed around Art Deco and music. From the Executive Lounge, exquisite course dinners, to an impressive breakfast buffet, we'll share all its charms!

Access from Yokohama Station to the Hotel

Hilton Yokohama's appeal includes its excellent access, about 11 minutes on foot from Yokohama Station. This time we reached the hotel via underground passages and Music Terrace, a pedestrian deck. Since the hotel opened in 2023, Google Maps hadn't fully updated yet, so we got a bit lost before arriving. When we actually walked there, the route through the underground passage and across the Music Terrace took about 11 minutes. For those planning to visit, we recommend checking the access method on the hotel's official website.

Sophisticated Lobby Wrapped in Art Deco

Upon passing through the entrance, the first thing that catches your eye is the magnificent Art Deco-themed lobby. A soaring ceiling, marble floors, and an elegant space accented with Hilton blue unfold before you. Adjacent to K-Arena, a music venue, the hotel features designs throughout that evoke "music."

Special Check-in at the Executive Lounge

We stayed in a 39㎡ Premium Twin Room, which comes with Executive Floor privileges including access to the Executive Lounge. Located on the 5th floor, the lounge is separate from the regular check-in counter, allowing you to complete procedures in a relaxed atmosphere.

Cocktail Time Hospitality

After check-in, we enjoyed cocktail time at the lounge. Beer, local cider, wine, spirits, and other diverse drinks are available, along with finger foods such as cold cuts, cheese, nuts, and snacks. This time, we enjoyed "Shonan Mikan Fuzzy Navel," a cocktail made with local mikan (mandarin orange). The windows offer panoramic views of Yokohama cityscape, allowing you to spend an elegant time befitting the start of your journey.

Luxurious Time in a Premium Twin Room

The room features a sophisticated design based on white and Hilton blue. Large windows offer panoramic views of Yokohama's cityscape and river, with the golden-hued skyline at dusk being breathtakingly beautiful.

Room Amenities and Equipment

Twin beds feature beautiful tufted headboards. The separate bathroom comes with a deep bathtub and rain shower, with Crabtree & Evelyn amenities throughout.

Particularly delightful was the Bluetooth speaker installation—a thoughtful touch from a music-themed hotel. Also, two welcome teddy bears were placed on the table, which we named Goma-san and Hilton-kun and cherished😊

Exquisite Dinner at Ocean Milano

Dinner was at the seafood & roast beef restaurant "Ocean Milano" on the 3rd floor. We had the "Cantabile" course. This course includes Chef's Recommended Seafood Platter, French Onion Soup, Grilled Japanese Black Beef, desserts, and more.

Spectacular Seafood Platter

The dinner highlight was undoubtedly the "Chef's Recommended Seafood Platter." The multi-tiered platter arranged on ice featured extra-large raw oysters, crab legs, large prawns, mussels, and scallops topped with caviar. This platter is just the right volume to share between two people. The oyster size was particularly surprising, and we were moved by their freshness and rich flavor.

Main Dish

For the main course, we chose "Grilled Japanese Black Beef." The beautiful pink cross-section is appetizing, with perfect cooking. The tender, juicy meat quality and elegant marbling umami spread throughout the mouth.

Dessert concluded with strawberry shortcake, champagne jelly, and vanilla ice cream. We savored the luxurious dinner leisurely with coffee and tea.

Evening Moments at Bar & Lounge Melody

After dinner, we headed to "Bar & Lounge Melody" on the lobby floor. In the open space with a 7.2-meter ceiling height, an impressive illuminated bottle tower stands in the center.

We ordered cocktails "Melody Appletini" and "Shonan Mikan Fuzzy Navel." The Melody Appletini is a cocktail based on green apple liqueur with a refreshing taste. The Shonan Mikan Fuzzy Navel is an original cocktail using local mikan, offering fruity and sweet flavors. The windows offer views of Yokohama's night scenery, creating a romantic atmosphere.

Impressive Breakfast Buffet to Wake Up To

The next morning, we had breakfast buffet at "Allday Dining Parade" on the 3rd floor. Its comprehensiveness truly amazed us!

Freshly Made at Live Kitchen

What stands out is the extensive live kitchen. The chef's made-to-order omelets and authentic Eggs Benedict are exquisite. The poached eggs have perfect soft-boiled consistency, and the pairing with rich hollandaise sauce is outstanding.

Yokohama Specialty Shumai Too

The Japanese section features Yokohama's specialty Kiyoken shumai! Being able to enjoy them freshly steamed and hot is a delightful point. Other offerings include nikujaga (meat and potatoes), grilled fish, and a full Japanese breakfast selection.

Amazing Honeycomb

One buffet highlight is fresh honey dripping from honeycomb frames. Since the honeycomb is provided whole, you can enjoy the luxurious experience of cutting and taking honey yourself. The ways to enjoy it are endless—spread on bread or pour over yogurt.

Refreshing Morning View

After breakfast, we returned to the room and enjoyed the morning view of Yokohama spreading from the window. Different from the night view, a bright and refreshing cityscape unfolds. The contrast between the riverside scenery and high-rise buildings in the Minato Mirai district is beautiful, and we spent a relaxing time with morning coffee.

The 5th floor has a 24-hour fitness gym. Equipped with the latest machines, it's perfect for exercise before breakfast or before bed.

Hotel Shop "Oasis"

The 3rd-floor shop sells hotel original goods and Yokohama local specialty products. It's also convenient for souvenir shopping.

Our 2-day 1-night stay at Hilton Yokohama exceeded expectations with wonderful experiences. Refined spaces themed around Art Deco and music, extensive Executive Lounge, exquisite dinner and breakfast, and beautiful Yokohama views. Everything harmonizes to create a special time.

Opened in 2023, all facilities are new and clean. The staff's hospitality was also excellent, with thoughtful care felt throughout.

While within walking distance of Yokohama Station, it's also adjacent to entertainment facilities like K-Arena and Anpanman Museum, making it ideal as a sightseeing base. Next time, we'd like to stay combined with attending a live performance at K-Arena!
